After 18 months (3 months ahead of schedule) the Gay St (Rt 113) bridge in Phoenixville is open and operational. Despite the lousy weather, a die hard group came out to witness the dedication by state officials, including County Commissioner Terence Farrell.
BRAVO and CONGRATULATIONS to all that got the Gay Street Bridge completed on time. Please be sure, to understand the history, of how this Bridge got Re Built, as well as when it was supposed to be Re Built, and the original Cost Estimates. Also, be sure to realize, how many bridges like the Gay Street Bridge, are in desperate need of Repair, all over Pennsylvania.
So glad the bridge is back open. FYI: the bridge over the turnpike on 252 re-opened a few days ago as well!
