I got a notice today that my current plan is being replaced with new options. Here are the highlights  
Option 1: 
 -2 times the monthly cost, 2 times the copay 
Option 2: 
 -15% higher monthly cost, 10 times higher deductible (which I must satisfy before coverage starts), maternity &amp; Newborn Care NOT COVERED 
 
Insurance companies can&#039;t be prosecuted under monopoly protection laws. Is this why somany states have so few options?  
 
In our current or reformed system, how does a health insurance company win my business in a healthy and competitive marketplace?  
 
I look at my options, throw my arms up in despair and say,  
&quot;so much for expanding my family&quot;  
and  
&quot;so much for my company minding its&#039; health insurance costs&quot;
