Family
At the core of our country are strong family values. I am fortunate to have parents who have always made family the priority. As the son of an engineer and a teacher, I learned at a very young age the value of hard work and perseverance.
In general, government policies should leave families alone. To the greatest extent possible, families should have the power to choose their own schools for their children, choose their own doctors without government interference, and start their own businesses without undue government burdens.
When it comes to protecting innocent life, government does have an important role to play. I am pro-life. Taxpayers should never be forced to fund abortions, as they are in ObamaCare.
Marriage between one man and one woman is a bedrock principle of our civilization. There should be no other definitions of marriage.
